Fund quality aged care - more nurses, fairer pay, GET MY VOTE. It's that simple.
Because We Care continues to send this simple message to all politicians around Australia. Aged Care is important to the community, to hundreds of thousands of residents, family members, and dedicated nurses and carers who work in the sector.
The message is simple, more needs to be done in aged care by the federal Government and all politicians to get our vote.
Now the final Productivity Commission report has been released, it is the job of our federal parliamentarians to ensure that any reform includes more nurses and fairer pay for aged care.
Because We Care will continue lobbying each member of parliament to ensure that the 'care' is put back into aged care, and that the needs of each and every residents are at the centre of any reform in aged care.
Enough has not been done to reform the aged care sector, and we will continue to lobby up until budget 2012 to make sure the care is put back into aged care.
